Sanrio Hello Kitty House, Bangkok. We heard about this place a year before we visited Bangkok through a cousin of mine who came across this shop. The Hello Kitty House is a cafe which follows the Hello Kitty theme throughout. Starting with their arches, doors and even the food! It is definitely a one-of-a-kind experience. The cafe is a little hard to find though. We had to ask so many people and walk quite a bit before we found the location, but it was well worth it!
There were mostly kids hanging around who were so into the pink, Hello Kitty theme, but we were just drawn to the pretty interior and the cute food that was on display. This is definitely THE SPOT for a hardcore Hello Kitty fan.
We went to Bangkok around Halloween, so they had cupcakes decorated according to the Halloween them. But what was incredible was the food on the menu!
The pancakes that we ordered came was a tiny portion that was fit for a character out of a Hello Kitty toon or Hello Kitty herself! As you can see, the plate is even decorated with Hello Kitty’s face on it! The cafe has definitely gone all out with the theme, but it’s not too much, but just right!
The cafe is spacious and has a floor upstairs as well where you can sit with a bunch of friends or family and have a nice chat and chill. There was a lovely kid with her grandfather who was having a long chat about how much she loves Hello Kitty and how she would love to come back. They were so adorable.
The basement or the ground floor has the Hello Kitty shop which again is filled with Hello Kitty merchandise. The merch is a little expensive, but for a souvenir buying something from this shop will definitely be rewarding. I bought a cute, pink Hello Kitty shirt and it still brings back a lot of memories when I wear it – and yes, I wear my Hello Kitty shirt with pride even though I’m a 22 year old grown, woman!
All in all, the Hello Kitty cafe experience was amazing and I will most definitely go back to the cafe when I visit Bangkok again!
